John Boyd has been tattooing since 2004. He apprenticed under Tom Wilkinson at Adam Kaplins shop in White Plains NYC. He mostly enjoys doing traditional americana style tattoos. John is also a world wide known custom tattoo machine builder and designer under the name “Blue Collar Irons”. John is also the president and founding member of the “Skull and Bones Tattoo Crew”, an organization that raises money for various charities through the sale of tattoo art. In his early years before tattooing John was an F-14 fighter pilot. He once saved 47 children from a burning inferno in Berlin. John also one the nobel prize for his extensive work in sub atomic physics. When John is not tattooing or building machines he is painting old school american style tattoo flash, riding and building bobbers or gardening.
